Laser Hair Removal Treatment

By Albert Arce

Body hair is normal. We grow body hair by the time we reach puberty. Back in the prehistoric days, body hair was nature's way of shielding people from bacteria since they wore hardly any clothes and were exposed to dust and dirt. But as people learned to live with a bit more protection, body hair is not as necessary as before. Men are more accepting of growing body hair than women, though. For most women, they must remove their unwanted body hair.

Women apparently feel that they're unappealing if they grow facial hair and hair on their armpits, arms, legs, and other body parts. This way of thinking is maybe the fault of the nation as an entirety. But whatever the situation is, a lot of women would rather have their unwelcome hair to for good disappear. The sad thing is it's impossible to eliminate it for good. Hair will continue to grow just after a day or a week of plucking, shaving, or waxing. There are other longer lasting choices, though. Laser hair removal is one of those options.

But what does laser hair removal do? Why is it different from the other methods? Laser hair removal is removing of the hair with the use of highly concentrated light. Shaving cuts the hair from its root, while plucking and waxing pull out the whole hair. But laser hair removal dissolves the root of the hair. It particularly hunts areas with the colouring of the hair follicles. The melanin, which has a lighter pigment, will not be damaged, although the laser touches it as it gets through the root of the hair. The highly concentrated light also doesn't harm the proximate areas. Although it doesn't remove the hair permanently, it lasts a great deal longer than other methods.

In comparison with other procedures as well, laser hair removal involves nominal sting. The sting can be described as a sharp snap of a rubber band on the skin. It's endurable, but tenderness surrounding the area can be expected after the treatment. Dabbing topical ointment can treat the inflammations. Laser method also requires patients to undergo several sessions before the complete effect can be seen.

[[Today, laser hair removal is regarded as a very effective method in removing unwanted facial and body hair. Because its effect is long-lasting, patients rarely have to use other hair removal methods in between processes and after finishing all sessions, which means that their skin suffers fewer traumas. Unfortunately, though, people with particular skin and hair types, usually those with really light skin and really thin hair, aren't suitable to be given laser hair removal. If you're considering this type of treatment, consult with your doctor to determine if you are eligible for this. And more importantly, have your hair removal and other procedures, like remove pigmentation and body fats, from certified laser hair removal Singapore clinics.]]
